Microsoft NGO Connection Day coming to Lagos this May: Apply here

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am pleased to announce to you that application for the Lagos 'Microsoft NGO Connection Day' is now open.
The Microsoft NGO Connection Day organized by Microsoft Anglophone West Africa and Paradigm Initiative Nigeria is an ICT training, networking and information-sharing event for non-profit organizations. This event which held in North Central Nigeria (Abuja 2011), South West (Lagos 2012), South-South (Calabar) in 2013, will be once again holding in LAGOS Nigeria on May 14th, 2014.
The NGO space is changing as everything else. NGOs need to be equipped with the applicable technologies required to make their work effective and relevant to the 21st century. Microsoft NGO Connection Day provides free training and support to NGOs based on the Digital Literacy Standard Curriculum. Apart from productivity tools, the curriculum covers Internet & Web, mostly focusing on connecting people, information and resources; and also Computer Security and Privacy. We also train in Digital Lifestyles, introducing participants to new digital technologies and how this is creating new and relevant opportunities and shaping their world – (of stakeholders, partners, sponsors, beneficiaries, donors, government, etc)
The venue of this event and draft agenda would be sent to selected applicants upon confirmation of attendance. The event is primarily for non-profits, and only lunch and course materials will be taken care of; travel costs will not be reimbursed.

We only able to accommodate those who receive letters of invitation from us following the close of applications, and who confirm their attendance within the stipulated time. Please proceed to fill the application form using this link  Applications will close on the 25th April 2014.
Thank You for your interest.

We look forward to receiving you!

Why Pastor Goodheart Ekwueme Resigned From House on the Rock Church in Abuja

I have been in pains!

If you follow me on Instagram, you will notice, I put up my pastor and coach's picture last weekend because I was heart broken.
He is Pastor Goodheart Ekwueme, the outgone (as much as I hate to use that) resident pastor of my local assembly in Abuja. I and all those who knows him, are going to miss him soooooooo much, it hurts.

Jenny Chisom's 12 Codes of Conduct for Men That Rivals Any Male Code

It's been a tough past week so I am grateful for Sunday heralding a new week.
I have been burdened to create a Code of Conduct for members of the League of Extraordinary Men (LExM) on Facebook. So while I couldn't attend service, I sat down and wrote this down on my note pad, then typed it.
This came in a bid to begin to restructure the group to ensure it is serving the right purpose and the right men.

Violence Against Men, Mnombo Madyibi and The VAPP Bill

Quite some fuss has been on about this man in picture MnomboMadyibi who was allegedly hit with a bottle of wine and also suffered attempted suffocation using a red and white teddy bear. But as expected it did not get as much attention like if the switch was fixed (the experience being that of the woman).
We must know that if men keep being treated like non humans, even the violence against women we usually fight for, will only increase astronomically, since after all a woman must live and find her fulfilled being married to a man or at least living and being in relationships with them.
