Extraordinary CEO: Tony Onyemaechi Elumelu

Tony Elumelu took Africa by storm when he took on 1000 emerging entrepreneurs from all across Africa to mentor and fund their start-up businesses. He founded the Tony Elumelu foundation (TEF) in  2010 when he also founded Heir holdings, Tony through his foundation unveiled one of TEF's major projects and flagged it flagged off this July during a boot camp where all selected entrepreneurs were hosted.

Tony, born Tony Onyemaechi Elumelu is a Nigerian born in Jos, Nigeria on 22 March 1963. According to Wiki, Tony is an economist by training, a visionary entrepreneur and a philanthropist. Tony is the Chairman of Heirs Holdings, the United Bank for AfricaTranscorp and founder of The Tony Elumelu Foundation. Elumelu holds the Nigerian national honours, the Commander of the Order of Nigeria (CON) and Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR). In 2011, New African magazine listed him as one of the 100 most influential people in Africa and a year later, he was recognised as one of "Africa's 20 Most Powerful People in 2012" by Forbes Magazine.


On July 10-12, he unveiled the names of 1000 African Entrepreneurs in diverse sectors who have become part of the entrepreneurship mentorship at TEEP









We celebrate this uncommon entrepreneur who understands the power of giving-back for posterity.

Violence Against Men, Mnombo Madyibi and The VAPP Bill

Quite some fuss has been on about this man in picture MnomboMadyibi who was allegedly hit with a bottle of wine and also suffered attempted suffocation using a red and white teddy bear. But as expected it did not get as much attention like if the switch was fixed (the experience being that of the woman).
We must know that if men keep being treated like non humans, even the violence against women we usually fight for, will only increase astronomically, since after all a woman must live and find her fulfilled being married to a man or at least living and being in relationships with them.
