Picture Story: How Jenny Chisom Blog Hosted Men at The Man and Himself Self-awareness Workshop in Abuja

Empowering men and inspiring hope in them for a better society is a cause we are committed to at JCB and just last Sunday, in Nigeria's capital city we hosted 33 men and a few women at the first edition of The Man and Himself workshop.

The event was aimed at opening up the paradigms on those mindsets programmed by society that has sold negative masculinity to men making them unproductive, humane and able to lead fulfilled lives. It was a moment of rethinking agelong held male code mindsets that are detrimental to men's livelihood and learning that it is okay to be human first before being male. The consciousness of choices and self worth was harped too.

From mind and emotional intelligence coach, Isaac Onoja and self awareness and life purpose clarity expert, Peterson Adeniyi, the outcomes of the session has been enormous already. Here are some pictures from the event.

When our supposed sponsor for video coverage called that they could no longer make The Man and Himself Event in Abuja on Sunday, all I thought of since I could not afford another video service and at the last minute was "well, story story pictures will tell the rest of the story" and they did. They always do.

Why Pastor Goodheart Ekwueme Resigned From House on the Rock Church in Abuja

I have been in pains!

If you follow me on Instagram, you will notice, I put up my pastor and coach's picture last weekend because I was heart broken.
He is Pastor Goodheart Ekwueme, the outgone (as much as I hate to use that) resident pastor of my local assembly in Abuja. I and all those who knows him, are going to miss him soooooooo much, it hurts.

Jenny Chisom's 12 Codes of Conduct for Men That Rivals Any Male Code

It's been a tough past week so I am grateful for Sunday heralding a new week.
I have been burdened to create a Code of Conduct for members of the League of Extraordinary Men (LExM) on Facebook. So while I couldn't attend service, I sat down and wrote this down on my note pad, then typed it.
This came in a bid to begin to restructure the group to ensure it is serving the right purpose and the right men.
