South Saharan organizes first ever Innovators and Inventors fair and prize in the South East

An NGO based in Enugu state, the South Saharan Social Development Organisation is organizing the first ever Innovators and Inventors fair and prize in the South East. Tagged the ' Showcasing the Can-do Igbo spirit: Innovations and Inventions from the South East, the event under its Ola ndi Igbo (Jewels of the East) programme will showcase over 25 original inventions and innovations from people either from the South East or resident in the South East, shortlisted from over 100 applications.

This event with the support of Life Lager Beer, the Ford Foundation, MTN, Ellington Company, Fidelity Bank, Radio Nigeria, NOTAP and many others will take place on the 18th of December from 10 am to 4pm at the Oakland Centre Enugu and is open to the public free of charge.  In addition to a N1million Grand prize and other consolation prizes,
the shortlisted inventors will receive training on patenting, financial management, how to run a business, marketing and branding.
According to South Saharan’s Programme Manager Barr. Onyinye Nwachukwu, the event is part of the organisation’s response to the recession and to halt the disregard for innovation in the country which has been the trend since independence despite the abundance of scientists and technologists and instead encourage innovation and entrepreneurship in Nigeria.

It is expected that the fair will attract over 1,000 visitors from within and outside of Nigeria including people from the private sector, investors, government officials, the diplomatic community and the general public.

If you follow me on Instagram, you will notice, I put up my pastor and coach's picture last weekend because I was heart broken.
He is Pastor Goodheart Ekwueme, the outgone (as much as I hate to use that) resident pastor of my local assembly in Abuja. I and all those who knows him, are going to miss him soooooooo much, it hurts.

Violence Against Men, Mnombo Madyibi and The VAPP Bill

Quite some fuss has been on about this man in picture MnomboMadyibi who was allegedly hit with a bottle of wine and also suffered attempted suffocation using a red and white teddy bear. But as expected it did not get as much attention like if the switch was fixed (the experience being that of the woman).
We must know that if men keep being treated like non humans, even the violence against women we usually fight for, will only increase astronomically, since after all a woman must live and find her fulfilled being married to a man or at least living and being in relationships with them.
