African Women In Leadership Organisation Now #HeforShe Compliant - Hon. Elisha Attai

AWLO has successfully launched out her HeForShe community with over 90 gender sensitive men across the world on our group already. The official unveiling and launch of AWLO HeForShe movement comes up on the 15th, December 2017.

*HeForShe* is a global effort of the United Nations to engage men and boys in removing the social and cultural barriers that prevent women and girls from achieving their potential.
The achievement of gender equality requires an inclusive approach that recognizes the crucial role of men and boys as partners for women's rights. HeForShe invites men and boys as equal partners in the crafting and implementing of a shared vision of gender equality that will benefit all of humanity.

Our ambitious aim in *AWLO HeForShe* is to *secure the commitment of One Hundred Thousand Men (100,000) to support the issue of gender equality and women's empowerment, starting at a high level with a simple positive pledge, and moving to a deeper level of concrete action and social change. Our stories and activities will be captured and shared globally through the UN platforms and our in-house media networks. This will inspire others to follow suit. *AWLO HeForShe* will surely bring the needed life to this movement through our commitment.

The momentum of these historic processes provides an unparalleled opportunity to engage men and boys (Through our Youth Council) as partners in addressing some of the greatest human rights violations of our time. As outlined in the core principles of UN Women's Strategic Plan 2014-2017 paragraph 33 C, the achievement of gender equality requires an inclusive approach that recognizes the crucial role of men and boys as partners for women's rights.

We are going to establish gender sensitization training initiatives and gender equality initiatives. We will enshrine the theme of *Gender Equality* into our major  conferences, events and meetings. We will Organize think tanks on particular topics that promote women's empowerment. We will use connections and corporate footprint to inspire like minded men to commit to the AWLO HeForShe movement.

I want to specially congratulate and thank AWLO global partners for this latest development.

*Gender equality isn’t just a women’s issue, it’s a human rights issue* which makes it everyone’s issue.
Together we can make a difference.

Please LEND YOUR VOICE and MAKE THE COMMITMENT today.... register here:

Jenny Chisom's 12 Codes of Conduct for Men That Rivals Any Male Code

It's been a tough past week so I am grateful for Sunday heralding a new week.
I have been burdened to create a Code of Conduct for members of the League of Extraordinary Men (LExM) on Facebook. So while I couldn't attend service, I sat down and wrote this down on my note pad, then typed it.
This came in a bid to begin to restructure the group to ensure it is serving the right purpose and the right men.
